The Heidi Braided Hairstyle

I’ve been wearing my hair in two braids recently, mostly due to the weather and the fact that I’m still trying to decide what to do with it. It’s three tones right now: my natural roots, a small chunk of healthy red, and then left over bleached blondish red, and I can’t decide what my next step shall be. Egads!

Anyway, I tried this on my dry hair, loved it, but found it a little tricky because my shorter layers would tend to peek out. I tried it wet and it was much easier to deal with, so perhaps I will try some product next time and see what happens! Anyway, I found this video to share in case you want to give it a shot, “The Heidi Hairstyle”, according to the sweet Aya:

Hi Lili! I will definitely try, hair isn’t really my forte but I will certainly try.

I posted another hair tutorial for “The Gibson Tuck” here: http://saralynnpaige.com/style/simple-gibson-tuck/

The very last picture was taken when my hair was just reaching my collarbone, and layered. Perhaps you can try that until I find some new styles for shorter hair!

Ooh, I so need to try this. I think my hair might just be long enough now.

Thank you so much for linking to my video, dear! The photo of your braid looks so perfect and crisp, I’m so glad that you enjoyed my video and were able to create it – probably better than I did! 🙂

Lovely post, and thank you again!

Red red red red red red red

I love this video, and hate it at the same time. It’s an adorable hair style, but one that makes me sad that I keep chopping my hair off. I just goy my hair cut again, where it’s longer in the front and shorter in the back. I might be able to tinker with it and maybe do it half way, where I only braid the front and leave the back down, but my hair in the front might still be too short. We shall see!

Thanks so much for posting this! This is actually a hair style I’ve been wanting to try, but thought my hair wasn’t quite long enough. I never thought to just start the braid a little higher!! Ha. And speaking of hair, I’ve been meaning to tell you that I wear my hair in that flipped ponytail with the ends bobby pinned up style that you posted about not too long ago. I love it and it keeps my hair out of the way and pretty!
